Our Lord was 33 years old at His death, Resurrection, and Ascension. That is the only way I've ever seen it taught. I've never heard a different number of years from ANY source.
He began His public life at 30 years old, according to the custom of His people at that time.
His public life was 3 1/3 years -- which, by the way, will be the length of Antichrist's reign as well at the end of the world.
Who said He was born "December 25, 1 AD"? I've never seen that anywhere. Why would most of the first "year of Our Lord" not even have Him born yet?
December 25th, yes. I've not seen the year added. I would assume it would be 0, not 1.
Do you really think anyone went around calling it the year 0, 1, or 2? I'm pretty sure it was made retroactive to Our Lord's birth year AFTER THE FACT. As in, they knew Our Lord was 33 when He ascended into heaven, so the early Church would have said, "OK, it's the year 33 A.D. now..."
Another small point: Unlike the Chinese and other cultures, we don't count age until a person is born -- even though they are very much a human person in the womb.
