    • Is it proper for a man to wear a hat during a procession? I am refering to hats other than baseball hats.

    As in Homburg or fedora or other dress hats for men, I would say yes, as I have done it before. I wear fedoras and dress western hats to Mass, depending on the occasion and the weather.

    • I should think so, but only outdoors, and not if Our Lord is present in the Blessed Sacrament in the procession.

    • I need your opinion friends. Heavy rain is forecast during the Eucharistic procession. In your opinion, is wearing a hat to shield from the rain still disrespectful? Thank you.

    With heavier rain, this is a better option, considering most hats that would be worn would not provide protection from the rain.
    I did a three hour pilgrimage walk in the rain to the Canadian Martyrs shrine. Umbrellas were not used. I wore my Confederate slouch hat which got soaked but still kept my head warm. 

    Prepared to get soaked Vincancino! :smirk: But think of of the rain as our Blest Mother's tears. Lacrimosa! :pray:

    Oh, no! You might stick someone in the eye. Umbrella are not suitable for a procession. Don’t be a wimp. Be prepared to get wet. But pray for fine weather.
