  • This is the series of events:
I stopped at a shop and saw they were selling candles and below was an image of Saint Pancras (I used to pray to him during exams and he always helped but had stopped praying to him since then, been years) So I bought one and asked if they had an image of Saint Pancras to go along with it  but they didn´t so I thought I ought to go buy one. I went to town and looked around but couldn´t find any.

I came back home and thought I would really like an image of Saint Anthony and another of Saint Pancras to pray to to ask their intercession for several favors and decided I would go to town to some more local shops to find an image of each.

The following day I misplaced something I really needed. So i started looking everywhere for it but couldn´t find it. I looked in a draw and searched among some old boxes though I thought it was improbable it would be there. I opened the first one and to my utter amazement I found two things and only two things in the small box................a small metal statue of Saint Anthony and a small metal statue of Saint Pancras together. I couldn´t believe it ,the odds of this happening I think make it improbable. Just those two small statues in that first small box I opened looking for something entirely different and instead I found the two images I wished to have. They were mine but from years ago, I had no idea where they were.

By the way as soon as I found the two small statues you guessed it I found the other object I was looking for, it had been in a likely place all along but I had not noticed it.

Thought I would share and would like to hear your interpretation.

  • My mother was looking for a picture of a model A car for a friend and found a letter of 1905, our Priest in the family.  It was dated my mother's birthday of May 28 and it was directed to her dad, when he was age 14.  He was to receive his first communion the following month.  The letter answered my mother's question that she always wanted to know, why this Great Uncle the Priest, wanted to be a priest.
Answer in the letter was, "pray nephew for your vocation at your Most Holy Eucharist day.  It was just on my day, that I got a strong inclination to study for the priesthood."

The letter was not known to anyone in the family to exist.  It was found in 2001, all folded amongst memories to be saved.

No interpretation, just a most beautiful Favor given to the family to remember this Priest, Our priest!

  • Wonderful blessing indeed! In South India St Anthony is, arguably, the most popular saint among Catholics. Also, in the same region, among the older generations, Pancras was not an uncommon name for boys. In fact there is an elderly priest in India, Fr Pancras, who helps the Resistance.

For the past few years Christians and their institutions in India have been harassed and bullied by various Hindu fundamentalist groups and officialdom. There is now a Hindu fundamentalist government in power.

I would request you please, to keep saying a prayer to these two favorite Saints of your's, St Anthony and St Pancras, for the beleagured Christians of India. Thank you.
