I fear my family may be broken up. My father is not speaking to my mother, and its been almost a week. It is uncalled for by his silent treatment. Please pray for God to soften his heart. I been praying hard, to St. Rita of Casicia, Infant of Prague, Our Lady and many rosaries. I'm afraid it may get worse. Thank you in advance and God bless.

You should talk to your parents. Invite your priest to come to your home to bless your house.

How old are your parents? When the men get to be age 45-50, they lose their hormones and can get irritable easier, can have wrong perceptions and need vitamin shots that they can give themselves once a month and the men are surprised how much better they feel and are more mellow. Some men will say they don't need such things or nothing is wrong with them. But it is important to talk with both to see what is going on. ANd Pray and we will.

Thank you all for your prayers, my father has apologized, and all is well again. Praise our Lord Jesus, and thank you to Our Lady, the Angels and saints, and to you my brothers and sisters.
I can see the battle of spiritual warfare, that families all over the world are going through such things.
My father is over 70, and thank you for the info about vitamins. You all are in my prayers too. I'll pray for you all as you have prayed for me. God bless you.

It's not unusual (though not exactly healthy for the relationship) for spouses to not speak to each other when upset. It can last a day, a week, a month or more and does NOT mean they are on the "rocks". Some people need time alone, inside their own head, to work out their feelings. I personally think it is better to talk out problems ASAP, but not everyone is like that, some people need time to ruminate.

Don't panic if it happens again, and don't interfere, that is the last thing a parent wants. They are all grown up and will work it out how they choose to do so.
