Dearest Vince,

Please be assured of my prayers... remember, God puts the desire of Him in the hearts of His chosen ones...
Have you ever read St Therese's "Oblation of myself as a h0Ɩ0cαųst of Divine Love?" (Sorry, the exact name escapes me, but it is in her book, Story of a Soul). Read that, and you will find solace. It made me feel so much peace, that I transcribed the whole thing in my prayer book, and then prayed it and signed it underneath with the date. Spend time with Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament.. He will tell you what to do!!

Are you wearing the Brown Scapular? If not, do so... and don't hesitate on asking to speak with a priest. They are never too busy to save souls and give direction.

Please don't take offense at my paltry advice.. Just trying to help. Respond to God's call.. Leave whatever sin has been holding you back. Our Lord and His Kingdom far outweigh any silly pleasures that we bind ourselves to in this life. He is knocking... invite Him in, and He will sup with you, and stay with you!!!

Is it called "ACT OF OBLATION TO MERCIFUL LOVE"? That's what I got when I searched the name you gave me. Anyways, I'll read it right now. I have a brown scapular and have had the blessing done on me; I took it off because I was angry or something I don't know.

Regarding asking a priest for advice, do you think I should go ahead and email "CathInfo.com" and ask for the email of one of the priests? Or even their #s?

I guess you're right, its a priest's job to be available for souls 24/7. And if I believe that certain priests (Fr Pfieffer or the other resistance priests) will direct me towards Christ more so than my local priest, then I'd say I have an obligation to seek these priests rather than my local priest. I'm just shy to give them an email or call them.

Prayers for you, Vince. Have you considered making the total consecration to Jesus through Mary, that St. Louis Marie Montfort so beautifully explains? The way of holy slavery of love, of true devotion to Mary most holy, is in my opinion and experience a most perfect way of offering oneself completely to God Almighty through the loving hands of His most Blessed Mother.

And yes, you have the title right for the St Therese prayer. You will love it!

You mentioned earlier...
I mean, is there something wrong with always thinking of God and always thinking of pleasing him and doing your best to fulfill his Will? I'm pretty sure that's what we're all made for. I know its what I ought to do.

There is NOTHING wrong with wanting to do Our Lord's Holy Will, and giving ourselves wholly to Him. Have you ever read "Abandonment to Divine Providence?" The first CHAPTER in that book straightened me out proper! Before that, it felt like I was beating the air. After the book, I have a peace that nothing can shake!!

I also forgot.. The Three Hail Mary's morning and night for purity and protection. Helps like no other :).

You can do it! We, your CathInfo family, are here to help. We are all trying to get back Home to Heaven. Run Home, and don't look back! ( on your past sins and pleasures and "goods" of this life). Our Lord told us this. He will not lead you astray.

Again, I will storm Heaven for help for you :)

First thing, if you have not already done so, put it on and never ever ever remove it again. It is a thirty-day exercise (certain prayers every day) outlined in St Montfort's book. Then, at the end, there is a Consecration Prayer.

I transcribed this prayer too, in my prayer book. Then, I went in front of the Blessed Sacrament and prayed the Consecration Prayer, and signed and dated it.

I also bought two silver bracelets, (the Figaro style, kinda looks like chain) and had them blessed by a priest. I put them on after my Consecration Prayer, and do not take them off, only in cases of emergency. They remind me every day of my "little slavery" to Jesus and Mommy Mary!

Now I need a blushing emoticon!

Michaela, I, too, made this consecration many years ago.

I believe I did a post a long time ago about the Total Consecration to Jesus through Mary by St. Louis Marie de Montfort but it deserves a new thread.

For those who are interested in this devotion, a word to the wise:
Read St. Louis's book first so that you understand this devotion. It is quite simple really, but the consecration should not be taken lightly. It is not a vow but a promise AND a promise is a promise and one made to Our Lord and His Mother should be taken with as much seriousness as you can muster.

Also, once you have read the book and made the due preparation outlined by St. Louis, I recommend that you ask a priest to hear your consecration and bless you afterwards. Well, actually, I think St. Louis makes that recommendation himself. Time to reread his book!
