  • Everyone,

My dad is dying, and in fact, he may already be dead. He is only 65 and is dying of liver failure, likely the result of drug abuse as a teenager and steroid abuse as an adult.  He's in hospice right now; my mother's boyfriend left me a coarse message about that a short time ago, as apparently, my sister and own mother do not wish to talk to me.  In any case, none of that is important.

What is important, at this point, is the eternal salvation of my father's immortal soul, and I would ask for everyone's prayers that he be spared eternal Hell.  I did invite him to come into full communion with the Catholic Church, the last time being four months ago.  He refused.

His only hope is the prayers of the Catholic faithful, and as this board is full of the righteous Faithful, your prayers are most appreciated.

    Thanks & Blessings,

    Don

  • Jehanne,
Have you given your father a green scapular?

I am praying to the Holy Family for him.

Jesus, Mary and Good St. Joseph, pray for him now and at the hour of his death!
