The violence began when the militants first attacked the Iraqi stock exchange at dusk with grenades and automatic weapons. After battling security forces there, the militants fled to the nearby Catholic church, officials said.

Pray for all Middle-Eastern Catholics, abandoned by the Conciliar Church, the U.S. and its European "allies."

Gotta hand it to the Russians:  when their co-religionaries in Serbia were under Muslim attack, they did something about it!

  •   Pray for all middle eastern catholics who wrongly believe that US and it's europeans allies are their saviors....
Pray for them because they can't tell a false bishop from a true one....
Pray for them as the foreigner bishops sent from other Countries speak the eastern languages very bad.....
Pray for them for they are suffering at the hand of fake converts and fake preachers who may even propose a marriage....
Pray for those who convert with unworthy motives that they may correct themselves and cease to scandalize others.....
Pray for true converts whom bad priests chase away.....
Pray for virgins that they may not be raped.
And for children that none may indoctorinate them....

  • I should add that we need to pray for the conversion of everyone there to Our Holy Faith. Only that will stop the endless violence there.

Who will have the courage of St. Francis to walk into a Muslim camp preaching Christ and Him Crucified?

Unfortunately, the Catholic Church visible to most Muslims today is not very attractive, is it?

How do you think a serious trad would do over there?

Spouse, can you tell us anything about this? You're proof that Muslims can and do convert to other faiths:  what were the arguments that convinced you? What attracted you to the True Church?

Islam will not be conquered by Eletist, prep school neocons, but by the Faith....and one that is not backed up by zionist Israel, the true ѕуηαgσgυє of Satan.....

The main and major difference IMO is that Christianity is built on a person, islam on an idea. We love the bible and sacraments because of Jesus not vice versa. But they love mohammed for the sake of quran. They love him because he was the one who gave them ideas in quran.
So they better match the egalitarian idea. Even quran says that "mohammed is a man like you."
Catholicism is for unity and eternity of faith. Religion of yes and no. A religion for clarity and simplicity. But islam has no central universal word. Hadiths are controversial, many of them under question. And quran is ambigious. So they can better suit human pride and subjectivity.
Islam is sex and sword, Christianity is love and fidelity. Now who looks more modern? more like french revolution?
It is why it appeals to modern man. To one like obama.
    ..............
What attracted me to the church was Mary, and personality of Jesus Christ.

  • Brilliant post, spouse.

Yes, of course: Mary. Now I understand. I am ashamed to admit that I never thought of it. I always imagined the way to convert Muslims would be through scriptural arguments, philosophy, and history.

Mary shows the way. Islam denies the woman; Christianity exalts her.

And her Son. The opposite of the lusting, vengeful, worldly Mohammed.

Avoid the dueling quotes, New Testament vs. the Koran. Go straight for the heart. Talk about Mary and Jesus. It makes sense. Thank you, spouse.

    I think you're right, Joan.

What does this say about the rest of us here?

BTW, I notice you have three ignores. What kind of a schmuck would ignore Joan? Much less three schmucks?

You're a better man than I am, Joan. I'm pretty big and brave when defending the Faith in a discussion in a civilized setting. How would I do alone, in an armed camp full of fanatics who have taken an oath to chop off my unbelieving head?

I hope that if that moment ever comes, God would give me a lot more courage than what I have right now.
