  • Lent begins 2nd March, still a bit of a way off, but it will come round quick.

I wanted to share with you my lent ideas

I think it's good to pick a theme at lent .

For instance this year I'm thinking of focusing on the shoulder wound of Christ ( padre pio said it's his most painful wound) dedicating prayers to it and putting up a picture of it. Spending time in meditation of it, dedicating each day of Lent to the shoulder wound of Christ.

Last year I did Christ's loneliness. The loneliness of the garden of Gethsemane and when they arrested him and probably put him in a cell... ..alone. his loneliness on the cross, where his friends abandoned him etc

Other themes I thought would be good:

    The holy face of Jesus
    The temptation in the desert
    Jesus anguish in the garden
    The sacred heart of Jesus
    The five holy wounds
