  • Michael, Michael of the morning,
    Fresh chord of Heaven adorning,
    Keep me safe today,
    And in time of temptation
    Drive the devil away.

This is a Legend that came out of the Korean War. It feels more like a "One Step Beyond" kind of story, but it's a good one. It is known as A Letter From Michael. It was narrated by Lee Alan and broadcast on a Detroit radio station on Christmas Eve's during the 1960's. The only name that can be verified is the Navy Chaplain, Father Walter Muldy. Apparently he was a Chaplain in the USN during the Korean War. Truth of Fiction? You decide...

  • This is an awesome short story. They used to play this on the radio what seemed like 4 or 5 times a day for a few weeks before Christmas when I was a kid. It always played on CKLW in Detroit.

    Thanks for posting it!
