I recall a story told in a homily about seven years ago by an SSPX priest when I was still attending the local SSPX chapel. He said that there was a fire with strong winds headed in the direction (not extremely close) of the SSPX chapel which was located somewhere near Post Falls or Spokane, I think. The priests put blessed metals (St. Benedict, I think) outside at the four corners of the chapel, and right after this was done, the wind changed direction, and so did the fire, and so the chapel was out of danger. Maybe someone else on the forum knows more details about the story. I thought that it was quite amazing, and a great testimony of the power of the prayers of the Church attached to sacramentals.
