You may hear arguments from those of the Novus Ordo against the contraceptive mentality, which are a good thing, but there is something I thought of though concerning the contraceptive mentality and the New Mass or Pauline rite. Since even its most reverent form, the Pauline rite has less emphasis on correct rubrics and on sacrificing for the reparation of sins (which I do not think that specifically and explicitly sacrificing for the reparation of sins is even in the New Mass at all) as compared to traditional Latin Mass, it seems to me then that the contraceptive mentality can be in a sense seen in the New Mass. Less is being given to God in the New Mass then as compared to the traditional Latin Mass. This can be analogous if one compared a married couple in which the spouses contracept and give less to each other to a married couple in which the spouses do not contracept at all and give their entire selves to each other. For all I know, I have the feeling I also have found about this sort of analogy somewhere on maybe a traditional Catholic site on the internet, but if not, it is something still that I have thought of recently.
