It's entirely relevant.
Matthew works for a living and has a family.
He provides CI as a FREE gift/service.
It's too much to ask that you take a few seconds to find a way that doesn't waste his time?
Personally, in the real world, I don't put up with even a fraction of the whiny BS that Matthew puts up with here, and that's talking about people who actually PAY me for my services.
Matthew actually created CathInfo to exercise his patience. He wants to take it to a heroic degree.

No, it's not.  Matthew was scolding people for complaining about Telling still being here after having been "banned already at 5AM", when there's no clear way for anyone to have known it.  You're NOT going to randomly PM people to find out whether they've been banned, or search for their user account in Member Search.

So the point isn't what Matthew has to do on the forum, it's that his scolding of the users who somehow "should have known" that Telling was banned that's at issue.

I wish people weren't so darn stupid that these things have to be mansplained to them repeatedly.  This stuff isn't that difficult.

Non-admins can't see this?

I don't know what kind of activity can change the "last active" time. Maybe a banned member viewing a post? I didn't write this software, so I don't know.

What I do know is that I banned him before I left for work on Tuesday, and I leave for work at 6:10 AM.
...what are you implying here -- that I'm lying?

Last of all, I will not be modifying any of the CathInfo software at this time. Why? Because I have an entire updated CathInfo in the wings, not just 99% ready but closer to 100% ready. I burned a lot of my tokens on a Cursor subscription (free for 1 year) and it got me completely to the finish line.

It was ready to go on the 20th anniversary of CathInfo -- but then my electrician class got in the way. And then I (luckily, unluckily) got a job IMMEDIATELY after my class.
And then I had a septic problem along with a huge water leak, followed closely by other household maintenance emergencies. Life has not been kind to me.

I still want to release the new site, if life ever gets back to normal for me.

You sir need to stop taking everything, so personally.  Yes we all know you have been here along time.  Yes we know you are upset that the Crisis still exists.  Please try sticking to the topics instead of making and taking things personally.  It is always best to assume that people are not trying to undermine you or gaslight you or anything negative.   Most of us are just regular people just trying to survive and we don't need the constant criticism.

What draws you back every time you leave?

Probably some of the people are real to you and you like knowing they are still around.

Xavier's last post was well before 5 AM, in Matthew's timezone. The fact that he hadn't posted in several hours should've been a clue.

Yeah, and I wish someone your age would have enough discipline and self respect to get some sleep instead of spewing their every tantrum all over the internet. But, I suppose, it's like my grandfather used to say, " you can wish in one hand and [defecate] in the other; see which one gets filled first."
