I play this for our noon day Angelus.
The children already know the Ave Maria in Latin, they are taught and encouraged to sing the "Sancta Maria" parts.
Children learn and retain prayers so much better when they are sung.
It is never too young to teach them - my two year old already hums along and pipes in the last words.

I remember the Angelus from growing up in a Catholic country that rang the bells at noon.  I can't even tell you at what point in my childhood it was taught to me, I just remember playing at the playground, hearing bells, and all us children stop playing, stand still and listen to the prayers over the speakers and responding at the appropriate times.

*** And for those of us who are mothers - when you hear your children sing this it will make you cry - I know it made me. ***
