Fast and abstinence. Move the feast day to Sunday.

( They move other important Holy Days to Sunday or May 1st.) There are traditional chapel having Ash Wednesday in Sunday.

Fasting is par for the course for me because of my medical condition. A simple meal of fish and chips is my table fare even though this is one of my high feast days by virtue of given names at baptism.

Easter comes soon enough and there will be plenty of time to feast then.
