John Gregory writes in the Four Marks about St. Athanasius. I guess I never realized how powerful and long lived the Arian heresy was.

So what ultimately became of that devilish movement?

Oh, come on. Surely someone knows how long Arianism lasted and what brought it to an end.

I'm not sure, but I think it took a long time to eradicate (a hundred years or so?) The Arian heresy is a classic example of how might doesn't make right. The novus ordo folks today will tell you that they are right because the "majority rules." Well, if that were so, we'd all be Arians today.

If you want dates, etc., why not check out the CE online? It is at newadvent.org or some such address. I would do it, but today is hopping around here :)
