If anyone says that true and natural water is not necessary for baptism and thus twists into some metaphor the words of our Lord Jesus Christ" Unless a man be born again of water and the Holy Spirit" (Jn 3:5) let him be anathema.

  • Listen to this cult nonsense.  "Daily activities such as cooking, gardening, sewing or taking care of the chickens, are spiritualized because, unlike worldly labor, every job is united to prayer, giving glory to God all day long."

Worldly labor and/or labor outside of a convent/monastery is not disqualified from being united to God.  Many lay catholics cook, garden, sew, and take care of chickens.  One does not have to be wearing a prison chain in order to be holy.

  • I would stay away from any group that promotes the "Divine Mercy devotion" as a "true devotion" like they do from their publication "From The Housetops". There's no telling what else they are bound to promote.

    http://truedevotionals.com/the-mission-of-divine-mercy/

Pius XII … placed this devotion, including the apparitions and the writings of Sr. Faustina on the Index  Librorum Prohibitorum (Index of Prohibited Books).

Next, came other prohibitions made by Pope John XXIII. Twice in his pontificate, the Holy Office issued condemnations of the Divine Mercy writings.

The image of Christ of the Divine Mercy devotion is said to not even be Christ. There is no Sacred Heart, the wounds are missing from his hands, feet, and side in the original image.

There are even more compelling reasons why Catholics should reject this 'devotion'.
We conclude logically that religion can give an efficacious and truly realistic answer to the great modern problems only if it is a religion that is profoundly lived, not simply a superficial and cheap religion made up of some vocal prayers and some ceremonies...

I have heard it argued that the Divine Mercy devotion promotes the sin of presumption, but I think that could be said about other more traditional devotions which have similar promises attatched to them, like the rosary and the brown scapular and the first Saturday devotion.

I reject the Divine Mercy devotion mostly because it is promoted by the Novus Ordo counter Church so much. If they love it more than any other devotion, and they seem to in my experience, I do not trust it.

Please pray for the repose of my soul.

And when they aren't praying, they are teaching school children during school year.   Right now they will spend the summer at camp for girls.

And they receive zero pay because they offer every thing to God and Immaculare Heart of Mary.

  • In regards to the Divine Mercy chaplet; the fact that it was banned twice by the Vatican.
The last time it was banned was Pope John XXIII.
Both divine Mercy and Luminous mysteries are optional devotions that are being promoted as mandatory devotions.

I have never prayed the chaplets of St Michael or the chaplet of our Lady of Sorrows.
And the majority of Novus Ordo don't even know how to pray the traditional Rosary.
And when they show up at Rally's they think they are doing only one Mystery of the Rosary and complain when we do all three Mysteries.
And many will pray divine mercy chaplet and not the Rosary.
May God bless you and keep you
