  • And, unfortunately, the “smoking man” from the X-Files died, so we don’t have any people left to expose all this stuff as govt brainwashing and military lies.
    .

I kind of thought he had the opposite role -- to bury the truth that Mulder was trying to expose (although the plot was pretty complicated, that's for sure.)

Anyway, this is the death of the Cigarette Smoking Man. He went out in a blaze of glory! (Or at least a blaze of C4.) Nothing short of a missile from an Apache helicopter would take that guy down, as he's dragging one last time on that cigarette through the hole of his tracheotomy. Vanished in the smoke that consumed his entire life.

  • How is your wife coping, Xavier?
Help of Christians, guard our land from assault or inward stain,
Let it be what God has planned, His new Eden where You reign.

Yes, he wanted some things buried but he wanted some things exposed.  He was a complicated bad guy, that’s why he’s so memorable.  Nowadays, the bad guy in so many movies is so comically over-the-top-evil (I want to kill everyone in the world because…I just like destruction.  ).  These poorly written characters come across as dumb and fake.  The best bad guys have a complex motivation for their actions which makes their motives understood, even if wrong.  Hollywood plots are so dumbed-down these days.

  • Pius XI didn't have to perform the consecration right away, but we know later that the Third Secret foretold the great apostasy, and that it had to be revealed around 1960 because it would become clearer then (what happened around that time?).

Pius XII was consecrated a bishop on the same day as the first apparition of Our Lady at Fatima on May 13, 1917, and reportedly saw the miracle of the sun in the Vatican gardens, and often thought of himself as "the Fatima pope".  Well, he was the Fatima pope alright, but not in the way that he had hoped.  He was SUPPOSED to have made the consecration and averted Vatican II and the line of Antipopes, but he never did.  Instead, his was the watership papacy that led directly to Vatican II.  He said at one point, "After me, the deluge." ... where it almost could have been rephrased "Because of me, the deluge."  Not only because he didn't perform the consecration, but because he did nothing to stop the spread of Modernism and even encouraged it in some ways, failing to defend Father Feeney against the heresiarch Cushing, opening the door to evolution, opening the door to Catholic birth control in NFP, setting up Bugnini to begin his liturgical experimentations, and appointing nearly every bishop (during his very lengthy reign) who would later bring us the glories of Vatican II (surely he could have found an anti-Modernist priest in every diocese to elevate to the episcopacy ... and that is THE single most important job of any pope, more than writing Encyclicals or delivering long-winded rambling speeches to a group of midwives).

Dumb question, maybe, but did Our Lady or Sister Lucia ever say that the Third Secret would be revealed to the whole world in 1960, or merely that it would be opened, and only the Pope and some other prelates and priests would read it?

Is it possible that the Third Secret was never intended to be told to the world at large?

    Just wondering.

  • No catholic, but the church has never fully explained the apocalypse,  it just says that christ will come again in his glorified state, ( not human) and we will have the last judgment
There is several things that must happen before Christ will come. Those things have not yet happened as we have not seen anti-Christ.

  • xavier, why do you believe this insane nonsense? Where is it in Scripture, Tradition or the Magisterium? One of your problems is definitely that you have too much free time to look into idiotic theories which would be better spent praying, working or in spiritual reading. Idle hands are the devil's playground and he got you real good it seems.
