  • Today si also the feast of Saints Sergius and Bacchus. They were martyrs under the Diocletian persecution around the year 303. Sergius was an officer in the Roman army and Bacchus served under him. They were both friends of Emperor Maximian. When they did not enter a temple of Jupiter with the emperor, he ordered them to do so. When they further refused his order that they sacrifice to pagan gods, they refused. They were humiliated by being led through the streets of Arabissus in women's garb. Maximian then led them to Rosafa, in Mesopotamia, where they were scourged so badly that Bacchus died of scourging. Sergius was beheaded. These two soldiers went from being the soldiers in the Roman army to being soldiers for Christ. They gave their lives for Christ. What will you do for Christ today?

Will you post some prayer icons and tell us the Jєωs are still God's chosen people, and that the Old Covenant isn't revoked?

Maybe, instead of chasing poche, you should join a good catholic dating site!   :roll-laugh1:

  • Or maybe we could all say, "Holy Martyrs SS Sergius and Bacchus, pray for us."
Stir up within Thy Church, we beseech Thee, O Lord, the Spirit with which blessed Josaphat, Thy Martyr and Bishop, was filled, when he laid down his life for his sheep: so that, through his intercession, we too may be moved and strengthen by the same Spir

what I would invite you to do is meditate on the life of the martyrs and ask yourself "How is my life an imitation of Christ?"

How about answering the question?  Do you think you are imitating Christ with your pharisaic prayer emoticon posting "piety" - your Novus Ordo news spam and your judaizing heresy?

It's not for you to ask people how to imitate Christ when you won't even say Jєωs must accept the Gospel.  On the contrary, it's for you to recognize yourself as a smarmy, pharisaic spreader of poison.
