Thank you, Hobbledehoy. Her prayer in honor of the Five Wounds is one of my links. But yours is much more beautifully presented! I used to say those prayers daily, but have gotten out of the habit. I think I'll start afresh tonight! And I'll include your beautiful Litany as well. BTW, I have the proper hymnes of the breviary for her feast in a Franciscan supplement. What a treasure our Faith is! And thank you for sharing so much of what you have in your library.
You are very welcome.
Give thanks and glory to God almighty and to His Blessed Mother, that you and other interior souls have been given the great grace to belong to the great family of the Seraphic Patriarch, St. Francis of Assisi. Such illustrious progeny! Such great fruit!
Fun fact:[/color]
It was the Franciscan Friars that converted the heathen peoples of Mexico, who were given the great privilege of receiving the heavenly visitation of the great Mother of God, Our Lady of Guadalupe, as the tilma of the holy Juan Diego testifies.
It was on the 12th of December, centuries later, that the Franciscans were exceedingly rewarded by Our Lady for having been earnest witnesses to her celestial visit and the millions of souls she thereby won for her Divine Son by allowing them to find the sacred relics of the Seraphic Patriarch, St. Francis. The
Inventio of his glorious body is observed in the Romano-Seraphic liturgical books on the 12th of December.
