  • After reading this thread, I request that when my demise comes that it NOT be announced here publicly.
Fear not, Emile, we have not shared anything about Nadir (Angela) that she would not have wanted. It was she, herself, who recently shared that beautiful photo of herself with the nun taken when she was hospitalised in Madagascar. It is her soul, now, that is important, and as Ladislaus rightly says she will appreciate every single one of them and will not be ungrateful to her benefactors. A lot more than we have posted will be known by all about every single one of us at the General Judgement.

I am He who is- you are she who is not.

Yes, when I pass on, even if 100 people call me a jackass for 1 person that might offer a prayer, the former does me no harm and is far offset by the one prayer.

  • Angela had told us recently of prior chronic circulatory problems. Generally, when there's a major injury such as happened last month, an already weakened cardiovascular system is stressed further due to the injury, and there's gradual exhaustion. Maybe that happened, maybe not. Yet this reminds us that we know neither the day nor the hour. Prayers for her and her family.:pray::pray:

From Nadir's post last month, (re an earlier hospitalization, not this last one) to put a face to the name:

    Thank you for this!
For what doth it profit a man, if he gain the whole world, and suffer the loss of his own soul? Or what exchange shall a man give for his soul?

  • I don't know for sure, but I suspect that Angela would also want us to remember this former poster as well:

Donkath - may she rest in peace - page 1 - The Sacred: Catholic Liturgy, Chant, Prayers - Catholic Info (cathinfo.com)

I hope posting this is ok.

Miseremini, I just realized that I completely misunderstood your question.  Sorry about that.

And even if people call you names, they might still be praying for you as well.

  • Today, this glorious feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, I'm thinking of Angela and the cross she carried this past month.  Then I remember the Sabbatine Privilege, as it's Saturday, and I have hope.
