Title: RIP Fr. Leon Bourke
Post by: Matthew on May 16, 2018, 10:20:09 AM
From the mailbag:

Quote
I believe on Sat-2018-05-12, Reverend Father LEON BOURKE, 92 (I think), died at his home in ROANOKE VA.

This group of traditional Roman Catholic Christians were being serviced by Rev. Fr. Juan Carlos ORTIZ (SSPX-Resistance) and an asst. tradRC priest at St. Athanasius church (both he and I are SSPX-Resistance members and solidly R&R).

Fr. Ortiz used to drive the 442 mi R/T  from WashDC <> Roanoke VA to celebrate holy TLM for the tradRCers down there since for the past 2 years (or so, roughly) Rev. Fr. Leon BOURKE wasn't able to celebrate holy TLM and also delivered other sacraments.

OK - I was wondering if you just might mention this to the CATHINFO population in a post...that Rev. Fr. LEON BOURKE, 92, has passed away on Sat-2018-05-12 in ROANOKE VA.

Prayers for him.
It seems like several old priests and bishops are dying lately, more than usual?

I was thinking the same thing.
