Hi everyone!
I need some help...I would like to buy a little statue for my room...Jesus or the Vergin, I have not decided yet...can you suggest me a good place or site?
I've found out this online store:
http://www.holyart.com/
but I don't know if it is reliable.
Do you know it? Have you ever tried it? Comments seem good...it's italian, but it ships all over the world and moreover most of the items are made in Italy and I love them.
Wait for comment and suggestions! Thank you very much!!

I wonder if there are still a order of Nuns that made Sacred Sculptures for
Churches, Monastery's and Convents., and Statues for the Faithful to
venerate.
Rosary College is in Illinois. This photo was from the 1950's.

Those prices are awful high. I think based on those prices, many on this site have tens or 100s of thousands of dollars worth of statues and don't even know it.
If there is no Catholic supply place near you, then seems like for $50 or so, you would find a nice one. Remember to get it blessed.

Try Mother of Our Savior its traditional.

You can look in second hand shops in the town or city and the
surrounding areas where you live.
I found a real nice and not damaged small statue of Mary with the
Child Jesus for $1.00 walking distance from where I live.

Most Catholic Churches and definitely Cathedrals have a shops that sell holy statues and other items. Do you have a Catholic bookshop near you?

In my experience, they are very expensive and many are cheap quality.
Some I have seen are modernist and avantgarde art that I
would not touch with a 10 foot pole.

I know what you mean, I hate the modern stuff too.
I managed to get a beautiful gold crucifix and when we visited Fatima I bought a lovely traditional statue of Our Lady and had it blessed by a priest there.

Just to give you an idea of what I have.

Thank you very much to all of you!!
Eventually I've tried that holyart.com... I've bought this wooden Holy Lady of Hope here
http://www.holyart.com/religious-items/statues/hand-painted-wooden-statues/our-lady-of-hope-wooden-statue-painted
It arrived in perfect conditions and in few days and I really apreciate it...the quality is very high and it is clearly hand made, not some kind of plastic/industrial stuff!!
It's a piece of Italian art and spirit in my room...
Very good service and job!
