    Following Pius XII's reforms of Holy Week, red is also worn for part of the Palm Sunday Mass.

  • Also for votive Masses of the Holy Spirit, Holy Cross Day, Votive Masses of the Passion or of Martyrs.  It is also sometimes worn for ordinations and confirmations, but that may be a modern practice.  I have also been told that it is worn on Christ the King in Poland becasue red is associated with royalty there.
