I've heard Mark Twain's is good.
I think he himself said it was his greatest work.

To get a gist of Joan of Arc in her own words, try and find a copy of her courtcase records in Rouen. She brilliantly conducted her own defence with the assistance of her voices. The film by Robert Bresson wonderfully captures the supernatural spirit of Jeanne https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Trial_of_Joan_of_Arc. I'll see if I can find a link where you can watch the film
