  • For those that have been in trad chapels that have daily Mass I would like to know how Masses are said when there is very inclement weather like blizzards and there's no servers. Have you seen what happened ? If so what usually happens?  Does Mass still go on?

Really how essential are servers in low Mass anyway?

  •  :incense:
Father says the responses in an undertone or whisper.  Mass is offered no matter what.  A server is not necessary at a private Mass.  Sometimes, if there is a man present who knows the responses, but not how to serve, he may say them from the front pew or while kneeling at the Communion rail.

St. Francis Xavier threw a Crucifix into the sea, at once calming the waves.  Upon reaching the shore, the Crucifix was returned to him by a crab with a curious cross pattern on its shell.

  • About 4 years ago my country was snowed under in a massive weather emergency.
There was lots of snow everywhere. I still went to Latin mass because it was a holy day.
The priest said it was all the diehards who had shown up in his sermon.
Mass went on no matter what.
