Recently, I was at a wedding, and prior to the ceremony, the priest came into the church to arrange things on the altar.  Instead of the typical "priest suit" that is so often worn (black pants, black shirt with Roman Collar, and black jacket), the priest instead had on black pants with a white shirt with Roman Collar, and no jacket.  I asked someone about this, and evidently the priest wears the white shirt instead of black, and ditches the jacket, during the summer months.  Has anyone else heard of this?

Black and dark colors absorb heat, so a priest in the tropics would need one year-round. This is the same reason why, for example, white tuxedos were designed for weddings.
