Praying for the Pope's intentions, not really
« on: November 02, 2017, 11:44:14 AM »
So many are confused about the necessity of praying for the Pope's intentions to gain indulgences.
We are not praying for the current Pope's private or public intentions.

Holy Mother Church set the intentions of the Pope and they do NOT  change from one Pontificate to another.
The intentions are:

1.  the exaltation of Holy Mother Church
2.  the extirpation of heresies
3.  the propagation of the Faith
4.  the conversion of sinners
5.  concord between Christian princes

Thank God for tradition!

Yes, so next time you have an opportunity to attend a Mass offered by a sedevacantist believing priest do not fear for instead of inserting the name of a heretical "pope" he can still pray for the proper intention that a True pope would have.

Never fear the Holy Ghost is near.

Right, and thanks, but how does this...

This is taken from 1910 Edition of the Raccolta...

PRAYER ACCORDING TO THE POPES INTENTION
23. The Pope’s intention always includes the following objects:
i. The progress of the Faith and triumph of the Church.
ii. Peace and union among Christian Princes and Rulers.
iii. The conversion of sinners.
iv. The uprooting of heresy.
These intentions may be fittingly recalled and prayed for after Communion, or at the visit; but a general
intention of praying according to the mind of the Pope is sufficient ; and any prayers may be used which
are not already of obligation, e.g., the Little Hours of a priests Office. (July 12, 1847; May 29, 1841.)

... address this (all ital. mine)

Add: Highly suspect Trojan-horsing of "Sedeoccupationism" here.

>>> Yes, Thank God. Now if you would please show us how what you asserted actually is, that would be great ma'am.
