What I find interesting is that growing up (I was born in 1951) the Fatima Prayer was not said as part of the Rosary where I lived, neither at home, nor in my parochial school, nor when attending a Rosary at a funeral home chapel.  Back in the 1980's when dairy farm work often precluded attending Sunday Mass I would go to a daily Mass on my next day off.  There would sometimes be a public recitation of the Rosary before Mass and that was my first recollection of hearing the Fatima Prayer.  I thought for a long time that it was something Pope John Paul II had introduced, and no, I wasn't happy about the change.

The Church’s Obligation to Believe and Obey Our Lady of Fatima | Part 5 | The Fatima Center

"When Sister Lucia asked Our Lord in 1936, “Why will You not convert Russia without the Pope making that consecration?,” Jesus answered by saying: “Because I want My whole Church to recognize that consecration as a triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, so that later on My Church will extend her veneration and put the devotion to this Immaculate Heart beside the devotion to My Sacred Heart.” "

Has the "whole Church recognize that consecration as a triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary"? No, it has not. ..."
Thank you for refreshing my memory! I mean, it's pretty difficult to gainsay the Son of God.  Thinking a bit in the future, we will have a true Catholic pope at some point, and 95% certain he will be a converted N.Ordo pope. Or he will drop from heaven....maaaaaaaaybe...!
