    • Today, the eve of the first (and arguably more important) of the said trials, please remember that in the Livre d'or des Âmes du Purgatoire, Fr. Benoit recounts that a priest was once sent to a dying irreligious man. Upon being rejected by the man, the priest decided that he would abstain from his afternoon coffee as a small sacrifice for the impenitent sinner. Shortly after, the man called for the priest to hear his confession.

    So, if today and tomorrow morning anyone can abstain from some coffee for my intentions, please feel free to do so!

    • Ironically, while I exceeded expectations on both dates, I completed them under totally different states of being.

    I prepared for the former date by refreshing myself with the Sacraments; yet immediately before the latter date (today) I have fallen into mortal sin without an opportunity to confess in at least another week.

    Now I am in need of more prayers for that reason. My sins are even more malicious because God has given me so many graces.

    I am such a miserable sinner. Polluting the holy feasts of All Saints and All Souls with my selfish sins instead of using these two days to strengthen myself spiritually and gain merit.
