How about putting a votive candle in front of your crucifix at home and lighting it when offering prayers for your Mum, especially the Beads for the Dead?

I started doing that a few days ago, took me a while to get a framed photo of my mum. But I have an LED candle on all the time by her picture. I say a chaplet for the holy souls in purgatory but maybe the beads for the dead applies more because I'm not sure where my Mum is in her afterlife. I pray everyday to get her into heaven though, please God.
