  • It would be noticeable for anyone who knew me personally that I make a thread like this, but basically I am asking you to pray for the conversion of my mother.
My mother was for a long time a hardened unbeliever, who ridicules Catholic doctrine and who punished me for my disobedience to her view of the world.
I shall not speak on what lies in the past, but speak only of this: In recent months she has become more willing to respect me as a person and to appreciate my Catholic point of view as well. Perhaps she will convert in time, but she has basically challenged God to make me a success before she will reward him by going to mass.
That is her thinking. Please pray to the Virgin Mary some short prayer that she will convert to the faith in the end, and that one day I might have the privilege of bringing her to a Tridentine mass.

  • Your mother and mine (as is every non-Catholic) are in my prayers every time I pray the Fatima prayer in the Rosary.

    God Bless soulguard.
For there shall arise false Christs and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders, insomuch as to deceive (if possible) even the elect. (Matthew 24:24)

St. Francis Xavier threw a Crucifix into the sea, at once calming the waves.  Upon reaching the shore, the Crucifix was returned to him by a crab with a curious cross pattern on its shell.

  • A most worthy cause, indeed, soulguard.

She and you are tucked away in my intentions.

  • Prayers for your mother soulguard.

If you haven't gotten a Green Scapular yet and taken up saying the prayer, I recommend picking it up and have you and your family benefiting from the prayers of all the devotees throughout the world.

    Sincerely,

    Shin

  • Thanks everyone for your efforts! May God reward you for them, and may you find mercy on the last day.

I did not know that the green scapular could be helpful in this situation. What is the prayer that must be said with it? Can you post it here please?
