Father hasn't appeared to be in the best of health in his videos the past few years.
In an article last July, Father Cekada accused Father Jenkins of using "public complaints about his
supposed health problems that aimed at winning pit and sympathy" (my emphasis) as a "classic cult maniuplation technique[...]". I know Father Jenkins, and his healthy issues are quite real.
Nevertheless, as we start seeing some of the early Traditional priests begin to pass away or to decline in health, this serves as a reminder about how long this Crisis has drawn out. Bishop Kelly has been said to be in imminent danger of death due to a heart condition for the past 10 years or so. Bishop Williamson is getting up there in years. It's been over 30 years now that I myself was at the seminary, and that was about 12 years after the founding of the SSPX.
And I think that's part of the issue with the neo-SSPX phenomenon. We have an entire generation of Traditional Catholics who were raised Traditional and therefore did not experience the Crisis first hand, and therefore don't fully understand the horror and the gravity of what happened.
