    • I just received word from Kentucky that Father Horvath has been diagnosed with congestive heart failure. Please keep him in your prayers.

    My father lived for about 10 years with that condition; it appears to be caused to an imbalance between sodium (too much) and potassium (too little).  Medications can help get that under control.  Statistics say now that 50% of people will live another 5 years after the diagnosis, and 10% will live 10 years or more.  I only write this because some people in reading "congestive heart failure" might conclude that death is imminent.
