  • Hello Forum!

Well, it seems our Blessed Lord takes your prayers to heart!!!

After posting about a potential conversion of a co-worker who  in my department, a great thing happened today. There's a Mercedes-Benz instructor I work with who comes to my office to chat every week or so. Last week, I think he saw the image I have of our Lady of Our Lady of Czestochowa because he mentioned God during our conversation. I figured he was protestant, but today he came by and referenced a part of the Gospel from Palm Sunday mass asking if I recognized it (ashamedly, I didn't at first ) I asked if he was Catholic, and he said yes!

I told him I went to a TLM with a local priest, Fr. Louis Marx, who does an Indult (that's another story- I missed our mass at my SSPX Chapel, so went to the Indult since I needed confession anyways). Fr. Marx is pretty renowned for begin chastised by the gαy loving, abortion supporting bishops in California since he continually speaks out against those things; the swept him off to a tiny little chapel where he offers the TLM, and his TLM's are packed- I had to kneel outside when I got there. He is a very devout man and was ordained pre-Novus Ordo(which is why I go to him for confession)! He's an old man, and I suspect he'll keep saying mass and hearing confessions till he passes away.

    Anyways.....

When he heard me say Fr. Marx's name, he brought these things up I just spoke about. Then he went on do discuss some books about Our Lady of Fatima, Lourdes, and other things, and eventually mentioned Windswept House. As he was trying to remember the author, I mentioned Malachi Martin- and then asked if he'd heard of Archbishop Lefebvre. He said yes, but asked, "Wasn't he excommunicated or something?" I told him the situation that surrounded the Archbishop and priests at the time (how they were stringing him along with the approval to consecrate a bishop, etc.) and that he did it for the protection of his priests and the society he founded (how ironic given that +Fellay is trying to undo all the work of the Archbishop, eh?). Then I'd asked if he'd been to a Tridentine mass, and he said not since he was young. I encouraged him to do so. I also asked if he would mind if I could give him some books to read, and he said he would love it!

So- here we are again- we need the CI arsenal to pray for this man. I think there's a lot of good in him. I only ask for a few prayers, more if you have time! There must be some holy people here and I appreciate all the prayers you offer- another soul for Christ, God-willing!

    Pray for me!

Please ignore ALL of my posts. I was naive during my time posting on this forum and didn’t know any better. I retract and deeply regret any and all uncharitable or erroneous statements I ever made here.
