Prayer Request

So, there's a Filipino guy I work with whom I brought him over (by way of referral) to our current employer when I left our former company. What's funny, is that we'd 'never' spoken about religion or faith until a few months ago, and we've worked together now for 4 years. He didn't even know I was Catholic until it came up by accident (he largely keeps to himself). As proof I busted out my image of our lady and infant child I keep in front of my computer screen.  :farmer:

We've been talking recently about the faith, and I've been amazed to find out that he was very active in his prior life in his NO Parish. He even went to seminary in Maryland. The good is that he seems to have sought 'conservative' parishes prior(our family did the same), and avoided very liberal priests- so it seems he has the right foundation, I pray. He also tells me he prays his rosary daily! He's recently married to a ethnic Chinese girl; they were married in the NO, but she is not baptized. From what he tells me she is open to the Faith, but he has not fulfilled his duties, as of yet, in truly fostering her conversion. He went to Ash Wednesday (NO) for the first time in years a few weeks ago.

I asked him to read Quanta Cura (and Syllabus) the other day, and tell me what he thought. I think it was a good experience for him- he said he recognizes that the current bishops are at ends with that docuмent, and seems to recognize their error. We discussed Liberalism and Modernism briefly before that. I am hoping he might read more (Pascendi, etc). I am discussing Tradition here and there, and he seems to be open to it. I also propositioned that we read a chapter of the Imitation together per day, as a means of helping each other grow spiritually. Finally, yesterday, I advised him to go to a TLM again (he's been before) with his wife. I offered that his wife, because of her culture, may be more accepting and understanding of the TLM given her race/nature/culture.

I ask for a few prayers for my good friend and his wife. May God's Will be done and may the Seat of Wisdom keep them as her own.

Dear s2srea,

Well done for that good work.
You may actually save that man's soul.

If each of us can do that, then together we can make a big difference for souls.

I will pray for this man and for his wife.
I will pray for you.

God Bless you, s2srea.

Yours,
Sede Catholic.
