Everyone,

We just learned that our neighbor of many years ("Teri") is dying of a very virulent form cancer and has only a day or two left of life. She is Catholic, so I would ask for your prayers for her and the repose of her soul.

You're welcome. I am including your neighbor in my prayers, but I cannot take credit for what I posted. It actually comes from St. Louis de Montfort's method for saying the Rosary, for the Tenth Decade, the Crucifixion: "...we ask of Thee, through this mystery and through the intercession of Thy Blessed Mother...the grace of a holy death for us and for those who are now in their last agony."

I will, and thank you. I went to see her for the last time and forgot my Rosary beads. I feel terrible, having said Goodbye, but wish that I could have said a Hail Mary or two while I was with her. She has either died or is very near death. We do not wish to disturb her family's privacy, so we are going to wait until they contact us.

Everyone,

Thank you for your prayers. My neighbor passed away this evening at 5:50 CDT. A short time ago the funeral home came and took her body. For some odd reason, they knocked on my door first, and I took them to her house. If I could squeeze some more prayers for her soul, that would be wonderful. She is Catholic, so she should have a Mass of Christian Burial in the next several days.

Will she receive a traditional funeral?

No, she was a Norvus Ordo Catholic, so no Tridentine Mass as far as I know.
