Not long ago, I posted a prayer request for a man at our chapel who made a general confession at the ripe age of 90 after a lifetime of irreligiosity. Let's call him EM.  Since his general confession EM, with the laudable help of his son, has continued attending Mass, receiving the Holy Eucharist, attended at First Friday and First Saturday devotions, etc.

EM has now entered hospice and is dying. We do not know how long he has, but the doctors have admitted there is nothing else they can do for him.

Please pray for the grace of Final Perseverance for this eleventh-hour laborer in the vineyard. .

 If there’s life, there’s hope. My grandmother formally converted at age 85 although she’d actually attended the Catholic Church since she was 16. She did not convert because she was dying. At 85, she used a cane only when going out, and had generally good health. She died at age 101. 

I am told by his son that EM has, at best, days left. His oxygen has dropped to 88-90 and he has mottling on his feet, which we are told are telltale signs.
