Prayers are requested for Fr. Mark Stafki, stationed in Post Falls, Idaho
where he is Principal of Immaculate Conception Academy.
He was admitted to the hospital on Saturday 08/27 due to a high fever.
He is under the care of Dr. Lorene Lindley a Traditional Catholic from our
parish.
30 to 40 (nodules) "infectious spots on the lungs" have been found, it has
not been determined yet if it is bacterial or fungal. Father is on heavy
antibiotics and last night his fever "broke" but they said it may return if
he doesn't continue to respond well to the medication.
His heart valves may be infected and the infection could possibly be the
cause of the spots on his lungs. The initial ultrasound on his heart did
not reveal so they may do a cardiogram and send a fiber optic camera down
his throat to look around. He is not allowed any food until the next round
of tests has been completed.
Father said he has not been feeling well for a while. He started suffering
from migraines last Sunday and by Tuesday he had developed cold symptoms.
By Wednesday his fever had begun and had escalated throughout the week
prompting his visit to the Urgent Care Center on Saturday morning. There
they did some initial tests and called him Saturday evening saying it looked
somewhat serious and advised him to go to the hospital for additional tests.
He drove himself to the hospital Saturday evening.

It's true, but old news. As of last night, the spots on his lungs have grown, antibiotics are not working, doctors don't know the cause. He received Last Rites yesterday.
