Today I prayed part of The Office of the Dead before the Tabernacle of my local Parish. I plan on going there for Exposition and Benediction because Our Lord is truly present there and could use a little comfort outside of the Novus Ordo Missae. There were a few people in Church. A young girl kindly opened the door for me to let me in. They performed part of Mozart's Requiem as I was praying Matins. After Matins was over, I genuflected and left, but as I was leaving The Dies Irae began. I once told my father that if they did not perform the Dies Irae at my funeral, I would haunt him. Not a good thing to say, but I am ignorant. The next time I visit the Blessed Sacrament I will pray Lauds, and then Vespers.

"Deliver me, O Lord, from the ways of hell, Thou who hast broken the brazen gates, and hast visited hell, and hast given light to them, that they may behold Thee. Who were in the pains of darkness."

"Libera me, Domine, de viis inferni, qui portas aereas confregisti, et visitasti infernum, et dedisti eis lumen, ut viderent te: Qui erant in poenis tenebrarum."
