Today I found out my mom had some testing done and it showed there might be problems with her pancreas and/or intestines. We should find out the results tomorrow, but even if the results are negative, she still might have a chance of colon cancer or having some sort of growth and will require a colonoscopy (I also found out my grandfather has colon cancer so it may run in the family). My mother is pretty much the main source of income and works hard to provide for our family of 7, to pay overpriced private college tuition for 3 kids, and to send money to her family in the Philippines.

Will pray.

This is a fear I understand my mother battled cancer on & off for 30 yrs.
In 2003 my husband was diagnosed with throat cancer...
which he is cancer free today but he will have to have some jawbone
restoration work done because of the radiation treatments.

thanks for the prayers, my mom will not need a colonoscopy.  she has acid reflux and some sort of pouch in her intestines that collects feces, it does not collect there permanently and will not be much of a problem.  there will be more testing on wednesday, but things seem to be fine.  i am very happy it is not cancer.  once again, thank you for praying.

after a series of tests, they found out she has fibroids (on the uterus wall), thank God they are benign.  she will have surgery within the next couple of months.  they are actually quite common!  in case anyone is wondering what fibroids are or the signs and symptoms, here is a link.
