  • Please say a prayer for my friend Julian. He is the sedevacantist who is now my best friend who I mentioned before. He is blind. I gave him some Lourdes Water and he told me he would put it in his eyes and hope for a miracle. I am praying a novena for him to St. Lucy who is the patron saint for those with eye problems with the hope that he may get better. He wants to see again so he can live on his own, go to Church again and read good Catholic books. But he may be blind for a reason. Maybe his blindness will make it easier for him to get to heaven. God only knows.

It is a shame we no longer have great saints like Padre Pio who work miracles through their prayers who we can go to for assistance. We are on our own us poor sinners with little guidance.
    R.I.P.
Please pray for the repose of my soul.

  • I'll pray too. Remember, St. Pio is alive still, we belong to the God of the Living. I hears St. Pio still hears confessions. Our Catholic faith is beautiful, the Church is not limited to just here on earth. Never give up, pray often, pray hard and hope a lot. May Jesus and Mary bless you and keep you.

    Can you elaborate please?
Or, without hijacking this thread for Julian, start a new thread on the topic?

  • An update on Julian. Today my father and I took him to Mass. He went to confession and received communion. He is worse now than he was when I started this thread. He is still blind and still has diabetes only now he cannot walk anymore. We had to take him to Mass in a wheelchair. Please pray for him.

Speaking of Padre Pio, one man actually did ask for his eyesight to be restored.  Padre Pio sadly responded, "Do you want to have your eyesight back or do you want to go to heaven?" (implying that he would lose his soul if he had his eyesight back).  Man went away said but without his eyesight.

    But I will pray

If we get to that, we would all be blind because being able to see is an occasion of sin.

And what about very good looking people, or having riches, or being healthy?

All those are occasions of sin, and yet the vast majority posses them.
