    my brother Steve (an ex STAS seminarian himself, received all the Minor Orders) had a self-donated marrow transplant for his lymphoma, but it didn't work.  It was a very unpleasant and painful experience for him.  He regretted it later.

    Well, maybe there's something Providential about this. As a positive, I noticed my dad was wearing a cross pendant again at Christmas, so maybe the face of mortality is making him "relapse" back toward his childhood Catholic faith again. God-willing. He has an in-road back through me, he just needs to act on it.

    • So sorry DL. I watched my father battle cancer for two years. It’s like a roller coaster praying and hoping for that miracle of healing at each turn.
