  • I am leaving for the hospital.  My daughter-in-law, the wife of my youngest son, has gone into labor with twins.  No problems are expected, but I would appreciate prayers.
Stir up within Thy Church, we beseech Thee, O Lord, the Spirit with which blessed Josaphat, Thy Martyr and Bishop, was filled, when he laid down his life for his sheep: so that, through his intercession, we too may be moved and strengthen by the same Spir

  • Prayers from me as well.
Please ignore ALL of my posts. I was naive during my time posting on this forum and didn’t know any better. I retract and deeply regret any and all uncharitable or erroneous statements I ever made here.

  • Thank you for your prayers!

Everything went beautifully.  Labor was relatively brief, especially for a first pregnancy, and I now have two beautiful new grandchildren, Anne Martha  and Nicholas Michael. With this combination of names, they managed to name the kids after me, my wife, their father, maternal grandmother, and an uncle. (Some of them are middle names or confirmation names.) My daughter-in-law is fine will most likely go home tomorrow.  My son is a wreck.  They live about two hours away from me, in the same town in which my other son is a Byzantine priest, and attend his church.  If all goes as planned, next Sunday I will have the joy of seeing my son baptize and chrismate my grandchildren.

I have had no sleep, and didn't really feel like I needed any until a few minutes ago. I will drive home tomorrow.

  •   You had a fruitful marriage! a priest son! a good father...
A twin boy and girl! the best way to have two kids of both genders in just one labor!
Many people wish to have it, even willing to go after artificial or in vitro means to get twins of both of genders!
      Congratulations!

  • A boy and a girl was just the way God Planned it.

I did have a wonderful and fruitful marriage.  I wish my wife were here to see this, but she did see the births of several of her grandchildren.  The new ones are my seventh and eighth grandchildren.
