Thank you for your prayers, everyone! Our cow is doing much better. She was suffering from what is known as "milk fever," which is a severe mineral deficiency which takes its toll from birthing a calf, making lots of thick milk/colostrum and not replacing the minerals fast enough. Milk fever causes cattle to be weak, in pain, and slip into coma or seizures. Cows either return to normal or die from it, as simple as that. It was rather worrisome for us, the only other people I know to have had experianced this trouble lost their cow to it... We were able to get a vet out to look at her and administer a treatment. She is now walking around some, eating, drinking, and nursing the calf, so she should be alright, but we shall continue to monitor her. Hopefully she'll be back at full strength by tomorrow.
*Phweew* That would have been a horrific mess if we lost our cow. Once again, thank you very much! I'll pray for you in return!
