  • It may seem silly to a nuber of you folks, but please pray for my cow,. She is ill and can't even stand, which can be very serious. She also has a calf to take care of...

It's critical. She either lives or dies in a day or two... please!

  • I'll offer prayers, and ask for the intercession of those saints who loved animals, such as St. Francis of Assisi, St. Hubert, and St. Joseph of Cupertino, who once raised a flock of sheep back to life after they were killed in a severe hailstorm near the monastery.

"It is licit to resist a Sovereign Pontiff who is trying to destroy the Church. I say it is licit to resist him in not following his orders and in preventing the execution of his will. It is not licit to Judge him, to punish him, or to depose him, for these are acts proper to a superior."

  • Thank you for your prayers, everyone! Our cow is doing much better. She was suffering from what is known as "milk fever," which is a severe mineral deficiency which takes its toll from birthing a calf, making lots of thick milk/colostrum and not replacing the minerals fast enough. Milk fever causes cattle to be weak, in pain, and slip into coma or seizures. Cows either return to normal or die from it, as simple as that.  It was rather worrisome for us, the only other people I know to have had experianced this trouble lost their cow to it... We were able to get a vet out to look at her and administer a treatment. She is now walking around some, eating, drinking, and nursing the calf, so she should be alright, but we shall continue to monitor her. Hopefully she'll be back at full strength by tomorrow.

*Phweew* That would have been a horrific mess if we lost our cow. Once again, thank you very much! I'll pray for you in return!
