My older brother, Philip, 65 years old, was rushed into emergency last night with what turned out to be a massive heart attack. After working on him for about 2 or 3 hours, the doctors said that there is nothing more they can do for him, that he is now brain dead and asked permission to remove him from life support. Fr. said that under the circuмstances, it would be ok to tell the doctor to remove him from life support, but for now, his wife is waiting and hoping for a miracle.
Deo Gratias that he received the Last Rites from one of our SSPX priests only a short time after he got to the hospital, and also he will die wearing his brown scapular.
Please pray for him.

:pray::pray: I’m very happy he was able to be visited by a priest and to see he is wearing the Brown Scapular.

So sorry to hear that, Stubborn. Will certainly pray for him and remember him at Mass. It sounds like he had a cardiac arrest with his heart attack and required CPR. Cor Jesu, in agonia factum, miserere morientium! Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Dear Stubborn, so sorry to hear this. Brain death is often “diagnosed” as a ploy to take organs. Brain death does not exist. It was fabricated at the same time that organ transplants became the thing. Please find out all you can about this. It is not unknown for patients to recover after so-called brain death.
Meanwhile I will be praying for your brother, Philip, and his wife and all your family. It sounds like he is well prepared for death if indeed his time here is over, but let us pray for a miracle.

Oh Stubborn..of course.

Thank you all very much, they removed all life support and he is now in eternity.:pray::pray::pray::pray::pray::pray:

"Brain death" is most certainly a fraud, but Catholic theologians are pretty consistent that one may remove him from life support under these circuмstances.

Thanks Nadir and I understand what you're talking about. His wife said that he was gone almost immediately, but was completely gone within 3 or 4 minutes of them removing life support. We're just very thankful to Almighty God that he received the last rites and died wearing his scapular.

Many prayers for you and your family. Prayers for the repose of the soul of your brother :pray:

Of course, I thought you would. With the last rites and the scapular it was a blessed death (what we all hope for). May he rest in peace and his family be comforted.

 Sorry for your loss, Stubborn. Will keep you all in my prayers.

Deepest sympathy, Stubborn. May Philip's soul rest in peace with all the saints. I like the words of the Preface for the Dead "for Thy faithful, Lord, life is changed, not taken away".

 May he rest in peace.
