Title: Please pray for Fr Reginald Defour, CSSp
Post by: LeDeg on November 08, 2021, 08:54:20 PM: Fr Reginald Defour, one of the last true (if not THE last) Holy Ghost Fathers has been in the hospital for pneumonia and has just suffered a heart attack. Please pray for him as it doesn't look good.

Father was ordained in 1964 and is 89 years old. He says the pre-55 Mass and was Mel Gibson's priest for a time. He hails from Trinidad.

Many old Holy Ghost Fathers in their house in Kimmage in Dublin have perished, apparently of COVID, and others are ailing. I've an old hand missal of a Kerry woman who lived around there. Most of those priests were sent to some retirement home.

Fr. De Four would travel a great distance to administer the Sacraments to our mission biweekly during the COVID lockdown.
