  • What a blessing! Thank God.

I meant the visit by Father. We were typing simultaneously, AMDG.
Help of Christians, guard our land from assault or inward stain,
Let it be what God has planned, His new Eden where You reign.

  • Thank you all for your prayers!

I went to the hospital yesterday evening to visit my father.  His vitals were stabilized and he was in a normal room.  At the same time the doctors have not been able to figure out concretely what caused his episode.

He seemed to be in a lot of pain when I was there and he seemed to want to be alone.  So, I didn't stay long.

Yet, at the same time he said he was just working on a bowel movement and thought he might be discharged today.

It was kind of weird and I haven't been able to get it off my mind.  I am not really sure what to think.
    Dear AMDGJMJ
Deo gratias.  So glad that your father is better and hope that he continues to improve.  The sacrament of Extreme Unction is often healing in body as well as soul.

I'll make sure to keep praying for your father, AMDGJMJ. :) Fr. Waters sounds like an excellent priest.

  • Thank you so much, Nadir, Texana, and and Kephapaulos!

My mother says that my father's CT scan showed that he had a kink in his intestines but it is resolved now.

I looked it up and a bowel obstruction can cause septic shock and internal bleeding.  So, that all fits together with what happened.

Hopefully he will be able to go home today or tomorrow.  😇🙏

That’s great news. We will pray for him. (I recently bought prayer cards with prayer box).
May God bless you and keep you

  • My father was discharged from the hospital today.  He is still a bit weak from not being able to eat solid food for several days but he has already been able to walk a bit!

Thank you all so much for the prayers!  😇

Oh, I am sorry that I wasn't very clear.  Yes!  He went straight home from the hospital with my mother. 😇
