Ave atque Salve my CI brethren and sustren

A question I have to pose.........may I ask what English hymns - if any - have been sung during the Palm Sunday Mass in the TLM traditionally?
Normally with the SSPX and now neoSSPX, everything was done in Latin, using the versicles found in the Liber Usualis.
Our usual priest gave me a phone call and asked if we could sing hymns related to Christ the King, as Our Lord proceeds triumphantly into Jerusalem. It is the whole "congregational singing" whack-a-duck issue.
I would like to know thus if this is REALLY traditional, or an innovation or some tertium quid.

I fell into becoming the ersatz kapelmeister as it were, and I have steered the hymnody as best as I and our few numbers are able to traditional hymns and classical arrangements thereof, i.e. Anton Bruckner's motets; Schubert, Bach, Gonoud, Elgar, Kodaly and the like.
My premiere thanks for any and all insights into my query. Happy feast of St. Gabriel for tomorrow as well!
