Our Lady of Sorrows

O God, in Whose sufferings, as Simeon foretold, a sword of sorrow pierced the sweet soul of Mary, Your august Virgin-Mother, grant us this boon: that we, who reverently call to mind her anguish and sufferings, may through the pleading of the glorious merits and prayers of all the saints who take their loyal stand beside Your cross, secure the happiness which Your own sufferings have gained for us: You Who are God, living and reigning with God the Father, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, forever and ever.
